Challenges:

Patients flaring at time of enrollment, extenuating life circumstances that caused a patient to not be able to participate, and delays in local advertising.

Resolution:

HS is still a largely unmet need and has a large population that has not sought care from a dermatologist before. Our local advertising was able to reach a good amount of these patients. We only had the local advertising up for the later half of recruitment. If we had it for longer, we could have enrolled even better. Going forward for HS trials we know to utilize this for recruitment from the start.
