Alizza R. Retter, MS, PA-C, is an experienced dermatology physician assistant. Before returning home to her native Chicago and joining DOCS Dermatology Group, Alizza practiced at leading dermatology clinics in New York City and Los Angeles, where she treated both adult and pediatric patients in general and cosmetic dermatology.

In addition to her clinical work, Alizza currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Physician Assistant Program at Touro University Illinois. There, she lectures on clinical medicine, diagnostic strategies, and procedural skills, helping mentor the next generation of clinicians.

Over the course of her career, Alizza has also held leadership roles in two other medical specialties. She served as Chief Physician Assistant in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Premium Health Center in Brooklyn, NY, overseeing IVF protocols and patient counseling. Earlier, she was Chief PA in Otolaryngology at Mount Sinai Hospital in Elmhurst, NY, where she directed patient care and assisted in advanced ENT procedures.

Alizza earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Mercy College in New York City in 2013 and her Bachelor of Arts in Biology, magna cum laude, from Yeshiva University’s Stern College for Women in 2010. She holds certification from the NCCPA, as well as state licenses in New York and California.

Outside of work, Alizza is a dedicated wife and mom, a second-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and enjoys traveling, reading murder mysteries, and completing challenging jigsaw puzzles.
