Dr. Barbara Cortez is a Board Certified Dermatologist. She is certified by the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology and has earned the distinction of fellow.

Dr Cortez earned her undergraduate degree at West Liberty State College in Wheeling, WV. Dr Cortez attended West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. At WVSOM, she was active in the Student Osteopathic Medical Association and served as a national board member. She was also inducted into the Psi Sigma Alpha and Sigma Sigma Phi honor societies. She completed an traditional transition year and dermatology residency through Ohio University at Grandview Hospital and Medical Center. She is on the adjunctive clinical teaching staff at Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Kettering Medical College. Dr. Cortez is also active with the Family Medicine residency training program at Soin Medical Center.

Dr. Cortez is a native of West Virginia, but Ohio is now her home. Her interests include traveling, CrossFit, reading, anything her 3 kids ask her to try, and enjoying life to the fullest.
