Dr. Bruce Alan Brumfiel is a Board Certified Dermatologist. He is certified by the American Board of Dermatology, and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and Ohio Dermatological Association. Dr. Brumfiel received his undergraduate degree from the University of Dayton, and earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Brumfiel’s Internal Medicine residency was done at Montefiore Hospital, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Kettering Memorial Hospital. He then completed his residency in Dermatology at the Naval Regional Medical Center, San Diego. Dr. Brumfiel served 14 years in the United States Navy Reserve as a staff Medical Officer, reaching the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
During his time with the Navy, Dr. Brumfiel earned many distinctions; including the Combat Action Ribbon, Navy and Presidential Unit Citations, and the Vietnam Service Medal.
Dr. Brumfiel is very active in his dermatologic and local communities. He is a member of the American Medical Association, Ohio State Medical Association, Ohio Dermatologic Association, and Montgomery County Medical Society. In his community, Dr. Brumfiel was on the Board of Trustees of the Good Shepherd Clinic in Belize for over 30 years. He is currently active in caring for the indigent and homeless at St. Leo’s Medical Mission. He also is a past president of the Rotary Club of Beavercreek, Ohio.
