Dr. Ryan Kirkland is a board-certified dermatologist and a fellow of both the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and the American College of Mohs surgery (ACMS). He has extensive training in skin cancer diagnosis and treatment, Mohs surgery, facial reconstructive surgery, a variety of laser and cosmetic procedures as well as medical dermatology.

Dr. Kirkland is a graduate of the University of Akron. He went on to receive his medical degree in 2005 from the Northeast Ohio Medical University. He completed his dermatology residency at the University of Cincinnati in 2009 where he served as chief resident. He then moved to Morristown, New Jersey where he completed his fellowship in Mohs surgery, cutaneous oncology, cosmetic surgery and facial reconstructive surgery.

Prior to joining the Dermatologists of Central States Dr. Kirkland also practiced in Washington D.C. where he was nominated as one of The Washingtonian’s top dermatologists by his peers.

Dr. Kirkland has authored several articles on topics pertaining to cutaneous oncology, laser surgery, cosmetic surgery and medical dermatology.

Dr. Kirkland and his wife Wendy, an ophthalmologist in Columbus, have two children Nolan and Camille. In his free time he enjoys traveling, exercise, golf and snow boarding.
