Dr. Brent Kirkland is a fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon in Cincinnati and Dayton, specializing in skin cancer diagnosis, Mohs surgery, facial reconstructive surgery, and medical dermatology. Patients in southwest Ohio trust Dr. Kirkland for expert, personalized care in treating basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and other complex skin cancers.
Dr. Kirkland earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, OH, and completed residency training at Stanford University, working with leading experts in cutaneous oncology. He then completed fellowship training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery, Cutaneous Oncology, and Facial Reconstructive Surgery in Pittsburgh, PA. He is one of the few Mohs surgeons in southwest Ohio trained in intraoperative immunostains to optimize cancer removal while preserving healthy tissue.
Dr. Kirkland is double board-certified in Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American College of Mohs Surgery. He has authored numerous scientific articles on cutaneous oncology, laser surgery, and cosmetic dermatology and has presented at national meetings.
