Karla Yanes, APRN, FNP-C is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. With a strong foundation in nursing from Dayton Children’s Hospital, Karla pursued her Master’s degree at the University of Cincinnati, where a clinical rotation sparked her passion for dermatology. She trained under renowned dermatologist and Mohs surgeon Dr. Roger Moore in Elkhart, Indiana, at the Dermatology and Skin Surgery Center, another DOCS Dermatology affiliate, before returning to Dayton to care for her own patients in collaboration with Dr. Bakos.

As a provider, Karla believes in providing holistic, personalized care through shared decision-making, building trusting relationships and empowering patients to feel their best while achieving optimal skin health.
