Dr. Su graduated medical school from Huazhong University of Science & Technology, Tongji Medical College, P.R. China. She completed a pathology residency at State University of New York, Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse. She then completed a Surgical Pathology Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. She completed her Dermatopathology fellowship at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.

She is the author of many academic publications and presentations.
